Aron Simeneh

Aron first got into photography as a hobby, capturing the music scene in Addis, however, later his hobby grew into a love and as the years went on Aron dropped out of Addis Abeba University to pursue his dreams full time. Aron then went on to create commercials for companies like BGI Ethiopia, Sole Rebels, Jano Beer, and DSTV. Aron also worked on personal projects such as “The Patriots History”, “Still in Motion”, “The Town of Azmaries”. Through these projects Aron was able to showcase his work at incredibly notable exhibitions such as the New York Photoville, the 1:54 Art Fair in London and two of Africa’s most prominent photography festivals; ‘The Bamako Biennial’ in Mali and ‘The Joburg Art Fair’ in South Africa.

Yoadan Tilahun

The founder and managing director of Flawless events. In 2004, she started Flawless Events in Washington Metropolitan Area, the USA alongside her work in international sales and business development. Her invaluable experience and contribution in the corporate sector reinforced her approach of result-oriented strategy and precision which grew the company’s clientele.


In 2008, Yoadan moved the company to Ethiopia in recognition of the potential and opportunities in the flourishing diplomatic capital of Africa, home to a growing number of international conventions, events, and forums. Flawless Events increasingly became recognized for its organizational excellence among the international development, private and government sectors. Her vision continues to grow with plans to further improve regional industry standards and expand services to other countries.



Yoadan leads Flawless Events with a keen eye for design and detail and a passion for flawless delivery. Yoadan is an enthusiastic advocate for professionalizing the MICE industry in East Africa. She is also an active member of the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA). Yoadan serves as the president of the Ethiopian Events & Exhibition Organizers Association. She holds an MBA in International Business and is fluent in Amharic, English, and French.

This is also a place where young entrepreneurs, local and visiting creative get professional support and consultancy, also it’s a place where great innovations coming out of Addis.

Markos Lemma is the Co-founder & CEO at iceAddis. 

He was born in 1984. Markos Lemma is a techie, activist, co-founder of iceaddis – Ethiopia's first innovation hub & tech startups incubator and co-founder of SelamCompany – a startup company working on primary education and literacy. 


He is a coordinator on a research program on literacy, a project running by MIT, OLPC & Tufts University with direct supervision of Nicholas Negroponte, Dr. Cynthia Breazeal & Maryanne Wolf. 
He organizes Barcamp Ethiopia once a year. Barcamp Ethiopia is the biggest tech community event in Ethiopia. He loves the active tech community and initiated different technology events. He is a collaborator, a blogger (Author for GlobalVoices). He mainly blogs and speaks about social media, mobile technology in Africa, green tech, and social affairs.



His work mentioned on different media such as The Economist, BBC, CCTV, Al Jazeera, TechCrunch. He graduated in computer science from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
